"If you are going to go through hell, keep going."
~ Winston Churchill
The key word in this blog's title is 'rambling.' It is entirely possible that architecture may not ever be mentioned in this blog. Too soon to tell one way or the other. Stay tuned...

New Film Project From Robert Leeshock featuring Von Flores - Press Release
Robert Leeshock and Von Flores of Gene Roddenberry's "Earth: Final Conflict" star in a new short film entitled "GODMACHINE", the story of a computer virus that allows an android to channel the frequency of the Big Bang, bringing herself to life and threatening the balance of power between man and machine forever.
The film marks the first time the two have shared the screen together since the last season of Earth: Final Conflict. Just under 23 minutes in length, the film's creators hope to continue the GodMachine universe in either a feature film or series format. The film has played at several comic-cons nationwide and is due to make an appearance at this years DragonCon.

Random TV Commercial Pondering
Cialis.
We all know the purpose it serves.
So why in the heck do the commercials end with the supposedly naked couple in two SEPARATE bathtubs? How's that going to work? I'm not saying get graphic, but come on now... TWO bathtubs?
If the powers that be are so worried about viewers' sensibilities and want to be coy, end with the dressed couple holding hands. Everyone would get the point. IMHO, the bathtub shtick is not coy, just plain dumb.
That is all. I promise not to bitch about the creepy Quiznos commercial with the singing kittens wearing clothes. You know you think they are scary too. Admit it.

Hiya
Been busy, busy, busy!
So much to say, but so little of it I should say.
Instead, I leave you with this:
Some people need to learn karma is always going to be the bigger bitch... fun to watch them learn.
That is all. :)

Proposition 8 Drama
Ha. Proposition 8 got squashed for the time being. I wonder if this hurtful, mean-spirited law will be allowed to die. Still not sure what bringing Prop 8 to life in the first place accomplished. More hate, anger, fear, and hurt? That's all most laws of exclusion tend to do.
Yes, this debate does not affect me personally. Honestly, how does allowing same sex marriages affect my right to a heterosexual marriage? How does it 'devalue' it? I can't seem to wrap my head around that....
I think you can tell what side of this drama I am on. My rule of thumb for which side I am on with these type of issues is 'Live and let live.' As long as someone else's choices are not affecting/harming me or anyone else, it's not my call. I can have my opposing opinion until the cows come home, but I can't tell other people how to live their lives. The arrogance of 'knowing' what is best for other people's lives is what gets the human race into trouble time and time again.
My question is why do we all have to get all bent out of shape over stuff that isn't any of our business? Why can't we all mind our own business? I find life is a lot more pleasant when I mind my own beeswax. Everyone should try it...
Seriously? If I was made dictator of the world, and imposed my personal viewpoints and preferences on everyone, I would be tempted to make lots laws of exclusion.... For starters I would start with a 'you're too narrow-minded and bigoted to reproduce law...' Probably follow that up with 'You're too much of a fanatic to reproduce law...' Maybe a 'No way in hell you are allowed to wear spandex law...' You get the picture.
